Podiatrist
Duties and Responsibilities:
- assess the condition of a patients feet, ankles, or lower legs based on the patients medical history
- Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower leg problems through physical exams, x -rays, medical laboratory test, and other methods
- Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments
- perform foot and ankle surgeries
- give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques
Salary:
- $116,440 as of 2012
Education:
- Must have a doctor of podiatric medicine
- Must complete biology, chemistry, and physics to graduate
