Podiatrist
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • assess the condition of a patients feet, ankles, or lower legs based on the patients medical history
  • Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower leg problems through physical exams, x -rays, medical laboratory test, and other methods
  • Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments
  • perform foot and ankle surgeries 
  • give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques
Salary:
  • $116,440 as of 2012 
Education: 
  • Must have a doctor of podiatric medicine
  • Must complete biology, chemistry, and physics to graduate
