• They perform vision test and analyze results
• They diagnose sight problems (such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and glaucoma)
• They prescribe eye glasses, eye contacts and other visual aids  
• prescribe medication (only if state permits) 

SALARY:

• $103.900 yearly
• $49.95 hourly

EDUCATION:

• Doctoral or Profession Degree
