Radiation Oncologist 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiation therapy to patients according to a doctors specific instructions.
  • Responsible for positioning the patients and adjusting the machines to ensure proper dosage.
  • They are trained to operate the machine from another room
  • They evaluate the patients well being during treatment 
  • They keep detailed records of treatments for each patients.  
Salary: 
  • Expected to grow 14% from 2014 - 2014 
  • Annual medium salary is $80,220
Education:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in radiography and a certificate in radiation therapy 
  • licensing 
  • certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists  
Demand or Need:
  • Problem solvers
  • Critical Thinkers
  • Communication skills (oral and written)
