Radiation Oncologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy to patients according to a doctors specific instructions.
- Responsible for positioning the patients and adjusting the machines to ensure proper dosage.
- They are trained to operate the machine from another room
- They evaluate the patients well being during treatment
- They keep detailed records of treatments for each patients.
Salary:
- Expected to grow 14% from 2014 - 2014
- Annual medium salary is $80,220
Education:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in radiography and a certificate in radiation therapy
- licensing
- certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
